TITANIC Day at The Mariners' Museum!

Transport your students to the early 20th Century as The Mariners’ Museum brings history to life with activities focusing on the tragic 1912 sinking of TITANIC! For only $5 per person, students will interact with costumed interpreters, play period games, and make crafts to take home. Each student will also participate in an interactive program that will introduce them to the history, technology, and mystery surrounding the R.M.S. TITANIC.

During the four-week session, meeting each Saturday, students in grades 1-8 will dive into exciting and challenging courses designed to develop and enhance such skills as communication, leadership, problem solving, and inventive thinking. Working both independently and in groups, students will improve social skills while enhancing their academic abilities through the course curriculum. Students are encouraged to work within their own specialty areas, resulting in a learning experience that is personalized and truly unique for each student.

THE DOME Returns

The Dome will be returning to the MMCM to present a number of “planetarium-type” shows for all ages.

MMCM Scout Night

Calling all scout troops! Join the friendly MMCM staff and volunteers on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, from 5 to 7 pm. Discover “It’s Shocking!” and learn about electricity with our Van De Graff generator (a hair-raising experience). Try special art projects in the Art Mart and search for clues in the aMazing Maze. Troop leaders may call the MMCM at 989-399-6626 to reserve space for their troop.

Sports Day
