PBC Homeschoolers

Palm Beach County Homeschoolers, Inc. is an inclusive volunteer-run homeschool support group open to local Palm Beach County, Florida homeschoolers regardless of beliefs, ethnicity, or homeschooling style. Our focus is on homeschooling with an aim to provide friendly, low-cost support with social and educational opportunities for all. PBCH is an incorporated, not-for-profit group.

In normal times, we have regular park meetings and a wide variety of activities such as field trips, clubs, classes, talent show, science fair, geography fair, prom, and more. We have transitioned back to offering such events in person once again as of the 2021-2022 school year.

Those who wish to join must first contact us, fill out our membership form, and pay our annual dues. These can be done online if you contact our membership secretary. We ask members to volunteer at least once a year.

Park meetings are (at this writing) held in the Royal Palm Beach area twice a month on Friday mornings. Contact us for verification of the location, days and times.

Some of the other advantages of joining PBC Homeschoolers include proof of membership (allowing you to receive teacher and homeschooler discounts) and access to our members-only sites for homeschooling support, events, and online resources. Membership is required for participation in our classes, events, field trips, and clubs.

Parents Educating Children (PEC)

Parents Educating Children (PEC) is a group of parents and friends who started meeting in 1982. We began with just 3 families; our membership is now over 400 families. PEC has become more organized over the years, but our goal remains the same—to encourage each other as we home educate our children. The organization of the group has been kept simple. An administrative board is appointed and shares organizational duties with the support group leaders. Many members are involved in the various activities; we hope you'll volunteer some of your time to PEC.

* The largest all-volunteer homeschool support group in Palm Beach County.
* The goal of PEC is to support, inform, and encourage parents in their efforts to educate their children at home. It takes no role in teaching the student.
* PEC provides socialization opportunities for children and activities such as Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Kravis Center performances, skating, and bowling.
* Five area support groups throughout the county hold family park days for parents and children to interact and network.
* Evening parent meetings present speakers and topics that provide for continuing education and support for all members.
