Cheer on teams of local architects, designers and contractors as they compete to design and build gingerbread houses “Iron Chef” style. The Gingerbread Design Challenge encourages “tasty” competition, allowing local architects, engineers, designers and contractors the opportunity to face-off and demonstrate their skills to benefit the San Antonio Children’s Museum. In honor of Veterans Day, the FIRST 350 active duty military members and their families visiting the Museum on Thursday, November 11 will receive FREE museum admission and 15% off in the Museum gift shop. *Active duty member must be present with valid military ID. *Up to three (3) additional family members may receive free admission.

It’s our first Monster Bash! Join us for lots of great Halloween activities in a safe and air-conditioned environment. Make your own eyeball slime in the Mad Scientist Lab and visit healthy kid-friendly trick or treat stations. Do the Monster Mash to the music of Leah White, 2009 Parents Choice Award for Best Children’s Artist and show off your costume in our spooktacular fashion show.

Make a difference in another child’s life. Help the museum lend a hand to others by bringing in gently used winter clothing, disposable baby diapers or unused toiletries which we will donate to the San Antonio Children’s Shelter. While you’re visiting, make a thoughtful card to give to someone special!

Two Shows! 1:00pm & 2:00pm SCREAM into science with bubbly, slimy, glowing activities that are sure to send a scientific chill up your spine!

Kids are free between 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm $1 parking between 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm (Houston St./Mid-City garage on the corner of Navarro and College St.) Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany up to four children.

Every Second Thursday Get up close and personal with the creeping, crawling, slithering animals that make their home at the New Braunfels Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo!
