Start your weekend with a relaxing and enlightening evening walk at Spring Valley. Through outdoor explorations, activities and readings, adult participants will increase their knowledge of the natural world and connect to nature. End the evening in the Merkel Cabin with refreshments. Participants must be age 21+.

Learn to make old fashioned lye soap and your own specialty artisan soap. This program is designed for participants ages 18+.

Ward off those dull winter days by learning about drying flowers and the language behind them. Bring an old tea cup and make a cheerful bouquet of dried flowers from last summer. Enjoy some tea and cakes to brighten your day! This program is designed for participants ages 15+.

Using milk right off the farm, you'll make cheese from start to finish. Participants will make both hard and soft cheeses while learning the history and science behind one of our favorite foods. This program is designed for participants ages 16+.

Learn about canning from its early developments in he 19th century to the system used today. Read historic recipes and take home two different canned delights. This program is designed for participants ages 15+.

Nothing staves off the cold like the fresh smell and taste of warm bread! Read historic recipes, knead fresh dough and bake it in our wood burning stove. Take home tasty samples of your hard work! This program is designed for participants ages 16+.
