This play is freely adapted from Rudyard Kipling's story about Mowglu the man cub. He grew up with wolves, but discovers he's avtually human and must decide whether to remain in the jungle or return to civilization. The Jungle Book runs between Feb. 7-23. Based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, this play is about a prince in search of the perfect princess who can pass the queen's sensitivity test and save the kingdom! Field trip to Seussical, presented by the Valley Youth Theatre

In this original Broadway version of Seussical, the Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton the elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos. Horton must protect them from danger and guard an abandoned egg. Ultimately, friendship, loyalty, and community are challenged but emerge triumphant in this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Seussical the Musical runs between Sept. 13-29. Fall Fun Day!

11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Fall is in the air! Visit the MMCM for Fall Fun activities. Make and take a pine cone bird feeder. Try your hand at apple stamping. Sort the fruits and vegetables in Aunt Sugar’s Farm. Name all the landmarks and mascots on our new giant regional map in Car Works. Practice leaf-rubbing. And enjoy all the remaining galleries.

Venom and Poison

Animals have amazing ways to defend themselves! Some simply hide or run, but others use venom and poison to survive. Learn about these dangerous--and sometimes even deadly--creatures. Class will include some experiments, examining mounted specimens, and meeting live animals. Designed for ages 8+, but all are welcome. Under 12 yrs must have an adult present. Free with Museum admission, no registration required .
