September 14. Family Painting En Plein Air-Monet’s Japanese Bridge. 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Come out and paint in the Artist’s Garden! Channel Monet as you use the Idea Garden for inspiration, and use your paint palettes plus tissue paper and pastels to create a painted collage of the famous bridge. Glow: Living Lights

As it turns out, Mother Nature is afraid of the dark too. How else can you explain all of those night lights in the forest, in the ground, and in the sea? Everywhere you look in the natural night there are critters aglow – from fireflies to jellyfish to worms and snails. In the most recent exhibition to grace the halls of the Museum of Idaho, Glow: Living Lights explores one of nature’s most peculiar and least understood phenomena – bioluminescence. Engineering for Kids Home School Classes

The home school classes are offered in 4 week intervals at the Dunwood Center in Fox Point. The classes are held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. over a 4 week period for a total of 8 hours of instruction. Classes are offered in a format to allow for families who have children across more than one age group. *Class sizes range from 12 to 20 students. We do not over enroll classes. *Jr. classes must have a minimum of 8 students. All other classes must have a minimum of 10 students.
