Wednesday, June 26 Open House Ponds, Puddles & Creeks 10:30 A.M. – Noon Your guide will bring you down by hayride to the Cattail Creek. Make sure to wear old tennis shoes or water shoes as we go into the creek to catch a variety of critters that live there. (Please no flip flops as the often end up floating downstream!) After spending some time catching the critters, we will take time to identify what we have found and learn about their habitats and life cycles. After releasing the critters back to the creek we head back to the barnyard to feed the farm animals. Tour time: 10:30 A.M.

SPECIAL EVENT Sunday, May 19th 1:00 – 1:45 P.M. Yoga “Down on the Farm” – Help support the Community Action Council of Howard County’s Community Garden. Join us for our first Sunday afternoon family yoga class. Adults and children ages 10 and older are welcome to participate in this basic yoga class led by Susan Kain, instructor at the Glenwood 50+ Center and Yoga Center of Columbia. Bring your yoga mat or a towel and gather at the barn! We will have a separate area where younger siblings with a parent can watch and participate in their own way.

Sunday, May 12th Alternative Mother’s Day 3P.M. to 5 P.M. – Join us down on the farm for Mother’s Day. Bring a favorite container or you can purchase one of ours and make an herb or flower container with up to 10 plugs! We’ll top it with cocoa bark mulch and a Happy Mother’s Day tag. The plugs, soil, tag and cocoa bark mulch are included in the fee. Our staff will help you create a memorable planter for mom! At 4 P.M. we will head down to feed the animals and at 4:30 we will go on a hayride through the farm and across the Cattail Creek!

Monday, April 22 Earth Day Celebration 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. Join us for a fun filled educational morning to celebrate Earth Day! Learn about seeds, plants, worms, composting & recycling! Activities include making a worm house, a recycling game called “What Goes Where”, a Nature scavenger hunt, a tour of our greenhouse and potting a plant to take home! You will visit and feed the farm animals and go on a scenic hayride. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy by the pond. All participants receive a 20% discount on any plants purchased this day!

Sunday, March 24th at 1 P.M. (rain date is Sunday, April 14th) Walk to support El Hogar, a non-profit in Honduras providing free education, a safe home and outreach to their home communities. Check out El Hogar.org, (a 4 star charity). Join us for a 5 K walk. Make change happen! Gather sponsors to support you by pledging per mile. Join us at 1 P.M. and walk for change. At Bayside's Limitless Summer Camp you'll have a blast in our 28,000 sq. ft., air-conditioned facility equipped with trampolines, foam pits, bars, rings, balance beams, tumble tracks and more! Full and Half Day Camps are available for children ages 5*-13. Full Day Camp runs from 9am - 4pm; Half Day Camps run from 9am - 12:30pm or 12:30pm - 4pm. Morning campers can be dropped off as early as 7:45am for open gym and Afternoon campers can be picked up as late as 5pm where the last hour will be down time with a movie & stationary activity. Extended care is also available till 6pm for $8/day.
