Our 2010 Songwriters Showcase will take place Sunday, February 28th at 5:00 and 6:30 pm at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore, a charming local venue that hosts professional musicians. Our creative piano, voice and guitar students debut their self-composed pieces to an enthusiastic audience. What makes this show so special? Celebrate National Aviation Day (and Orville Wright’s birthday) by building and flying your own egg-carton glider. Also features storytime and aerospace demonstration stations.

Students who have finished grades 6-9 will have the opportunity to experience the exciting world of flight by building and flying a variety of paper and Styrofoam gliders as they progress to a large balsa and hardwood high performance hand-launch glider. This beginning level aerospace camp is designed for students who have finished grades 4-6 and who have little or no background knowledge of the principles of flight. Campers will learn the basics about five different aspects of flight: airplanes, kites, hot air balloons, helicopters and rockets. Advanced registration required.
