LITTLE MONSTER TALES by Fantasy Theatre Factory Tuesday, October 19, 2010 Two Shows: 9:15 &10:45 am Recommended for Grades K-5 Delightfully squeamish stories about monsters, children, and other squiggly creatures. Fantasy Theatre performers use simple props, narration, and music to weave their tales of suspense. Shiver hilariously with a comic version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Shake with The Monster and the Tailor by Paul Galdone. Scream with laughter as Ghostwriter decides to help a young student with a homework assignment.

Cochran Mill Nature Center Saturday, August 28, 2010 10:00-3:00 Members $4.00 Non-members $5.00 Kids under 2 – free (CMNC annual membership - $45) Come see the anaconda, venomous snakes of Georgia, a 12’ albino python, giant mouse-eating bullfrog, boas, turtles, lizards, frogs, giant scorpions, an alligator and lots of other cool critters. Arts and crafts, games, and guided canoeing will be available all day.

Pilgrim History at Sharp's at Waterford Farm

We cordially invite all homeschoolers to join us Friday Nov. 12 from 1 - 3 PM. for our "Pilgrim History" educational program. History comes to life as all our tour guides dress in costume. Included are 4 stations that discuss the Pilgrims' home life, the chores the children were responsible for, the games they played, and a special section on the Native Americans. The program includes a hayride through the Cattail Creek and everyone will harvest an ear of popcorn to take home with them to pop. The cost is $7.25/person and registration is required by November 10th.

Last Weekend at Sharp's at Waterford Farm

This is our last weekend open to the public for 2010! This is a perfect time to shop our country store. We have jams, preserves, local honey, crafts, apples, apple cider, (cider freezes great for the holidays!!),apple and pumpkin butter. These items can make for great affordable gifts for neighbors, co-workers, friends, or family. Corn maze, and the farm animals will be available all weekend! We are open from 10 AM. to 5PM.

We cordially invite all parents and children to join us for our Open House Special! From 1 to 3 PM. we will go through the 10 + acre educational corn maze, the theme of the maze is "Waterfowl On The Pond", then we will take a scenic hayride across the Cattail Creek. When we return, we will go to the campfire where we will roast marshmallows, and have some hot chocolate!

Sharp's at Waterford Farm will be open all weekend from 10AM. to 5 PM. Free hayrides will be given throughout the weekend. Pumpkins, gourds, indian corn, apple cider, fresh apples, baked goods are available. The store has a variety of preserves, local honey, apple butter, pumpkin butter, salad dressings and so much more! Our 10+ acre corn maze and mini maze will be open all weekend as well. Pack a lunch and picnic by our scenic pond. Bring the entire family and enjoy the challenge of our 10+ acre educational corn maze that overlooks our scenic pond. This year the theme of the maze is "Waterfowl Around The Pond". You will learn about Canada geese, great blue herons, and osprey. There will assorted facts about them as well as true and false questions that if answered correctly, you stay on the path...otherwise you end up in a dead end! We also have a mini corn maze for the younger children.
