Saturday, September 30– Iron Bridge Hounds come to visit at 10:30 AM. A spectacular sight of horses, riders, hunt master, & lots of happy hounds ride to our farm! It's our opening day of the fall season so stay around & take a free hayride to pick your own pumpkin & go through the educational corn maze. Thursday, November 9th 1 -3 P.M. Open House -Pilgrim History & Hayride we cordially invite all families, and homeschoolers, to join us for “Pilgrim History”. This is one of our most popular November educational programs that we offer. History comes to life as all of our tour guides for this program are in costume. Children will learn about the Pilgrims home life, the chores Pilgrim children were responsible for, the games Pilgrim children played, and also about the Pilgrim’s relationship to Native Americans. The program concludes with a hayride that goes through the Cattail Creek.

Day In The Life Of A Farmer Open House

Friday, Oct.20th - Open House -Day In The Life Of A Farmer 2-3:30 P.M. This is one of our most popular fall educational programs that we offer. Included in the program is a farm class about bees and how they help the farmer grow his crops! You will see an observation bee hive and learn about the crops grown on our farm. Everyone gets to feed our friendly animals, go through the mini corn maze, take a hayride that goes through the Cattail Creek, then harvest your own pumpkin and an ear of popcorn to take home with you! The tour begins at 2 PM and is 1 ½ hours long.

Monday, October 9th Columbus Day: Harvest Celebration 1 – 4 P.M. We would like to invite families, day cares & scout groups to come celebrate the fall harvest and spend a day at Sharp Farm! Our time together will include learning about the farm animals, feeding the goats and going on a fun hayride through our fields and the Cattail Creek! Everyone can go through the 7+ acre educational corn maze & mini maze. (This year our theme for our maze is “Farm Dogs”.) All children will harvest a pie pumpkin & harvest an ear of popcorn to take home with them.

Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show

This event is hosted by the museum every other year over Labor Day weekend. Sponsored by the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers, the three-day air show takes place on the runway behind the museum and features jets, helicopters, warbirds and other radio-controlled models. Hours for the event are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Special HOMESCHOOL 4-week Series!! Special days/time: October 3, October 10, October 17, and October 24 2:00-3:15 pm for ages 5-8 3:30-4:45 pm for ages 9-12+ Learning to cook is more than just knowing how to follow a recipe. It is an adventure into the basics of chemistry; an exercise in the applications of math and reading comprehension, and the visual art of nature’s palette. Lil’ Chefs will use fun recipes to help illustrate and practice basic kitchen skills. Our teen/tween chefs will enjoy more challenging recipes.
