Considering music lessons for your child’s already saturated schedules?
While we have plenty of “Why Study Music?” articles and research, music teachers want you to know that we witness many additional pluses for students who add music studies to their schedules.

Turns out, music students are learning much more than music. Among them are listening skills, as student responds, communicates and delivers his or her own thoughts and words. Music teachers are generally very patient, and can wait for, or gently nudge students to give an opinion. (Great critical thinking development!)

Teachers can engage students to express themselves with music making, which can be a really great way to boost self confidence.

Music can be an outlet of self expression while performing pieces for family and friends, even now, via internet platforms.

Music teachers can develop successful students who learn to set achievable goals.

Have a shy student? Music teachers love building confidence! We are very often extremely patient and set small goals which build confidence and a desire to learn more.

We often compare new music concepts with other subjects, linking the new with the familiar. We love the “light bulb” moments as much as you!
