Friday, July 27th Open House Ponds, Puddles, & Creeks 10:30 A.M. to Noon Your guide will bring you by hayride to the Cattail Creek. Make sure you wear old tennis shoes or water shoes as we go into the creek to catch a variety of the critters that live there. After catching the critters, we take time to identify what we have found, and learn about their habitats and life cycles. After releasing the critters we head back to the barnyard to feed the farm animals!

July 14th Second Saturday Farmer 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. Learn to be a farmer. It is a relaxed 2 hours of animal feeding and farm chores, learning to plant a garden and a scavenger hunt through the barnyard and farm museum to find old tools and heritage farm equipment. After your scavenger hunt, we’ll fill you in on all the use and history behind the tools and equipment you found. Each child receives his junior farmer graduation certificate. Wonderful World of Worms Open House at Sharp Farm

Thursday, July 12th Open House - Wonderful World of Worms 10:30 A.M. to Noon Your guide will teach the children about worms and their role in composting. Some questions that will be addressed are; what is vermi-composting? How does composting benefit the environment? How do you build a compost pile? What part do worms play in the composting process? Bring a baggie of food scraps as we will go through all the steps of how to make a compost pile! Everyone will pot a plant to take home! A hayride and feeding the farm animals is also included!

After spending some time catching the critters, we will take time to identify what we have found and learn about their habitats and life cycles. Spring Is Growing Open House at Sharp Farm

Friday May 18th Open House Spring Is Growing Noon – 1:30 P.M.- Children will begin this program in our barn classroom where they will learn about the parts of a seed; germination; how seeds travel; and how seeds grow into plants. They will take a tour of our working greenhouses and observe plants at various stages of growth. The children will also learn about the farm animals and have an opportunity to feed them. The program concludes with a fun filled hayride that goes through the Cattail Creek! All children will pot their own plant to take home with them.

Alternative Mother's Day at Sharp Farm

Sunday, May 13th Alternative Mother’s Day 3P.M. to 5 P.M. – Join us down on the farm for Mother’s Day. Bring a favorite container or you can purchase one of ours and make an herb or flower container with up to 10 plugs! We’ll top it with cocoa bark mulch and a Happy Mother’s Day tag. The plugs, soil, tag and cocoa bark mulch are included in the fee. Our staff will help you create a memorable planter for mom! At 4 P.M. we will head down to feed the animals and at 4:30 we will go on a hayride through the farm and across the Cattail Creek!

Summer Academy

School is out but TREAD is in!! Summer Enrichment Academy will be happening Monday-Thursday for 6 weeks Students will enjoy hands-on, interactive lessons in reading, math, and foreign language. See you there!

Fat Tuesday Open Play

We will be celebrating Fat Tuesday during Open Play! In typical Mardi Gras tradition, we will throw everyone beads halfway through Open Play and switch to a Glow party. Everyone will receive a Feathered Mask when they leave. February 13th 10am-12pm OR 4pm-6pm Admission is $10.00+tax per child. No coupons or discounts will be applied. Parents Night Out

Haven't had time to enjoy a Valentine's Date Night yet? Drop the kiddos off with us! We jump and play in the arena on our various inflatables. We eat pizza dinner and have a special dessert. We color, create and play games while our food is settling. THEN we will end the evening with a GLOW party with music and dancing. If the kiddos are tired, they are welcome to watch a movie to settle down. When you pick them up they will be tired, fed and ready for bed! Saturday, February 17th 6-10pm Ages potty-trained and up.
