Class Description Daily classes from July 6th to July 10th, from 9am to 10am Your camper will take a journey across the globe during Cultural Camp. This camp is design specifically for 5-6 year olds. They will learn about the country of Japan while exploring the performing arts through games, storytelling and acting. Journey to Japan After centuries of instability and war, The Tokugawa shogunate (a feudal military government) gained control of Japan in 1603 with a commitment to bring peace and stability to the country.

Class Description July 1st, one day class, 7pm-8pm In this class, we will learn one of the basic rhythms that defines flamenco dance: bulerias, a twelve-count beat. We will explore arm movements and marking patterns that emulate this rhythm! No shoes or hardwood floors required. This workshop is designed for new and repeat students. Choreography will differ from past workshops. Special Notes This class will take place using Zoom.

Campers will participate in three 45 minutes classes through out the morning with our teaching artists. Puppetry Puppetry is one of the oldest forms of storytelling and uniquely crosses all cultural and linguistic barriers. It has been used for thousands of years as a way to pass down ancestral lore, teach allegories, provide entertainment and add meaning to ceremonies.
