Ponds, Puddles, and Creeks is probably our most popular program! Your guide will take you to the Cattail Creek by a tractor pulled hayride. We all get into the creek and using nets we catch as many creatures as we can find! We then identify what we have caught and discuss their habitats and life cycle. Wear old tennis shoes that you can get wet and a dry pair of socks and shoes for later. We will also visit and feed the animals! Cost is $7.00. Parents and children under 2 are free. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy your picnic by our pond!

Wonderful World of Worms

The educational program today is called The Wonderful World of Worms. It will begin at 10:30 and conclude by 12:30. The guide will teach about the importance of composting. We will also talk about the role worms play in composting. The anatomy of a worm will be discussed and why they are such great composters! Bring some food scraps in a small baggie as we will demonstrate how to build a compost pile. Feeding the farm animals and a hayride are also included. Everyone will pot a plant in our compost soil to take home! Cost is $7.00. Parents and children under 2 are free.

Spring is Growing Educational Program

From 10:30 - 12:30 we will be hosting our educational program called Spring is Growing. Children will learn all about seeds & how they grow. We will take a tour of our working greenhouse & observe plants at various stages of growth. Everyone will pot their own plant to take home! We will feed the animals and take a hayride! Cost is $6.50/child. Parents and children 2 and under are free. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Birds & Gourds

Today from 10:30 - 12:30 we will be hosting our Birds & Gourds program. The guide will instruct the children on how to make a birdhouse from one of the dried gourds grown on our farm. All supplies are included and everyone will take home their own birdhouse! We will also visit and feed the farm animals and take a hayride! Cost is $8.50. No cost for parents or children under 2 unless you request to make a birdhouse! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

Homeschool Week!!

Each day this week we are opening up our farm to all homeschoolers to participate in one or several of the guided programs we will offer this week. Monday June 7th from 10:30 - 12:30 PM Nature Knowledge Everyone takes the hayride down to our nature trail. We will discuss trees and native plants, wildlife, track ID, life cycles, food webs, erosion, and much more. Wear your hiking shoes! We will also feed the farm animals. Cost is $7.00/person No cost for parents or children under 2 years of age. If you have extra time, bring a lunch and picnic by our pond! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Herb Weekend

Using fresh herbs can make everything taste better! This weekend, our gardening experts will be available to answer any questions you have regarding the growing of herbs and the best way to use them! Mother's Day Celebration

Come celebrate Mother's Day on the farm. Bring your mom's favorite planter, or you can purchase one of ours, and make a special Mother's Day container. Pick from a wide variety of plants. We will supply the soil, fertilizer, and mulch for free. Visit and feed our farm animals and then enjoy a picnic in our scenic field. At 5 PM.a free hayride will be given to all! We hope to see you! Free admission! Pay for any purchases.
