Idea Lab Homeschool Program What it is: A hands-on STEAM enrichment program for homeschooled kids ages 5–12, held at 13642 Research Blvd, Austin, TX 78750. Classes run Tuesday through Thursday, 10am–1pm, from January through mid-May 2026.
How it works: Kids come in for weekly in-person sessions in small groups, learning through projects rather than lectures. Trained instructors guide them through building, experimenting, designing, and problem-solving — all while keeping it fun and collaborative. Two age groups: Sparks (ages 5–7) — intro-level activities like kitchen science, basic coding with Scratch Jr., and robotics with littleBits Inventors (ages 8–12) — more advanced work like 3D modeling, AI concepts, forensics, and drone engineering What kids actually do: Depending on the day, they might cook up a chemistry experiment, program a game, build a robot, design in Canva, or play strategic board games. Every day includes open free play time and lunch. Cost: 1 day/week: $150/month + $50 one-time semester fee 2 days/week: $290/month + $75 fee 3 days/week: $420/month + $100 fee To enroll, you can call (512) 291-7510 or email nwaustin@idealabkids.com.
