Families for Home Education
The purpose of Families for Home Education is to protect the inalienable right of parents of Missouri to teach their own children without state regulation or control. FHE represents and supports the rights of all home educators in the state and is not affiliated with any religious or political organization or special interest group. Closely monitoring legislative activity in the state capitol, through the only registered homeschool lobbyist, is one of our most important activities. We also provide accurate information to anyone interested in home education.
Home Learners Association of Central New York
Home Learners Association of CNY (HLACNY) is an inclusive, secular homeschooling cooperative predicated on respect for all that provides affordable, and engaging enrichment classes, field trips, and other resources to foster community among Central New York homeschooling families. Founded in 2008, we saw a need for structured classes tailored to homeschooling families. By combining our talents and efforts, we have grown into a diverse, dynamic group!
Finger Lakes Homeschool
Welcome to Finger Lakes Homeschool (FLH), a chapter of Homeschool NY. Homeschool NY is a state-wide network of support groups, serving home school families from around the state. We are an inter-denominational Christian organization, promoting home education and supporting parents who choose to homeschool. We believe every family has the legal and constitutional right to home educate in NYS, regardless of their educational philosophy or religious affiliation.
Mission Statement - Finger Lakes Homeschool is a non-profit group for homeschooling parents and children of all ages. We believe that parents are the primary teachers and are responsible for all lawful reporting, curricula choices, and instruction. FLH aims to support the role of the parent by offering meetings, special events, field trips, and co-op classes. We are a local, member-run organization that honors the diversity of homeschoolers and provides a supportive community for our members. Our reasons for homeschooling differ, as do our styles and approaches to education, but what we share is a respect for all learners and a desire to support one another.
Vision Statement – FLH desires to provide a valuable and useful tool for homeschooling families. We strive to create a dedicated group of families who co-labor to provide a safe place for home-school families to learn, grow and make new friends. As an academic Co-Op, we endeavor to offer challenging and stimulating learning opportunities in a structured, professional atmosphere. The Co-Op teachers do not take the place of the homeschooling parents who remain fully accountable to the state for the child’s education. They do, however, teach, clarify, and answer questions on Mondays and direct the course for the session.
What is co-op? Co-op provides supplementary education for our children that we cannot easily provide ourselves, allows kids to learn accountability and study skills in a fun group environment, and an opportunity to develop friendships. This environment is a mixture of core classes (e.g., chemistry, biology), enrichment classes (e.g., French & art) and fellowship for the children and parents.
All families are welcome to join our group and our co-op, however, you must recognize that we are at our core a Christian organization. Although we choose to have no requirements for religion for our membership, we acknowledge the beliefs of Homeschool NY and agree to be considerate of those beliefs in our programming. As a group, we agree not to include or offer programming that is contradictory to Homeschool NY's bylaws. Curriculum content may be dependent on individual teachers and parents should ask teachers before registering children for classes if that is a concern.

Home School Academy LEAH
At the Home School Academy, our primary goal is to support home schooling families by offering classes in areas that are challenging to accomplish at home. As such, we strive to:
- Orchestrate those classes to work with other curriculum so parents who adjust their curricula can have a day free of teaching while their children are still accomplishing their academic goals. (i.e. You can leave your students with us and we will make sure that they get a great academic day of school in!)
- Give the students a day to interact with other kids without it hindering their academic progress.
- Provide a full day of classes for the advanced 4 ½ year old up to 12th grade, so the whole family can be cared for at the same time.
- Provide the option for 7th-12th grade students to choose classes as electives and take only what they want and need.
- Hire teachers that are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and who can pass on their enthusiasm to the students.
- Save families money (and stress) by doing things like science experiments and history projects as a group.
- Keep our standards of excellence high but to keep the program as affordable as possible.
- Give the students a chance to experience different teaching styles, learn proper classroom behavior, note-taking, presentation skills, and how to be responsible with assignments.
- Meet all these goals in a healthy atmosphere of God’s love and acceptance, recognizing that our children are God’s church in training.
Beyond classes, our calendar is full of educational and fun events such as field trips, workshops, display and performance opportunities for our classes, a secondary school barn dance, high school formal, and graduation.
We have competitive boy’s and girl's basketball teams (6th-12th grades) and oversee martial arts lessons.
We provide forums of discussion and support such as prayer requests and curriculum sales.
We have the privilege of being part of New York State Loving Education at Home (LEAH), which is a Christian organization dedicated to supporting and promoting home education throughout New York. As a LEAH group, we are connected to information about home schooling concerns, advocacy, and area opportunities and events.
Evermore Homeschooling
We are a small, non-sectarian, faith-based homeschooling group in Columbia County, NY. We gather once a week for enrichment and group-based activities, and do the core of our homeschooling at home -- we all have different approaches.
Our interests at co-op include social skills, literature, science projects, handiwork, fine art, history, critical thinking and more. Each block of four to six weeks has new topics to explore, centered around a particular theme such as Astronomy, Legends, Winter, and Vive La France.
We are, and wish to remain, a small group of trusted friends with children ages 7 and up. Younger siblings are welcome too. We invite new families only occasionally. If you think you may be a good fit for our group, fill out an application to join next session. Someone from our group will contact you and get the conversation started.
