Home on the Rock
We are a conservative, Christian homeschool group, run solely by volunteers.
We define home education as the parent doing the teaching, therefore anyone using a Virtual Academy (E-COT, Connections Academy, et al) is not able to join HOTR.
Every parent must teach or help in a class for every session your family participates in HOTR, in addition to the small class fee paid for each class.
We are not a drop-off program. The parent must remain in the building the entire time. A satisfactory background check is required before any family can join HOTR.
We offer a wide-range of activities such as; Volleyball, Spelling Bee, Swim, Science Fair, and Rollerskating.
Some of our local supporting churches have included: Grove City Church of the Nazarene, Amazing Grace, Grove City Vineyard, Westside Church of God, St. John's Lutheran Church and Columbus West Church of God.
Excellence in Learning Community Co-op:
ELCC serves homeschoolers from all over the Central Ohio area, including Licking, Knox, Fairfield, Franklin, Muskingum, Coshocton and Perry Counties! We host a variety of field trips, mom's nights, milestone events, trainings, AND weekly co-op on Thursdays.
Clermont Homeschool Connections
We operate as a partial CO-OP, so people can choose to instruct, and receive classes at no charge for their children, and others can choose to just 'pay and go'.
Our programs are an easy-going, flexible, inclusive, and affordable way to get the kids ‘socializing’!
Facilities expenses and most supplies fees are covered by class tuition. Costs vary depending on the class.
'Classes' generally meet one day per week, and sessions will vary as we offer multi-week sessions, mini-sessions, and one-day workshops. Most multi-week sessions are between four and eight weeks. 'Class' days are generally 3 hours.
