Portraits can do more than just show an image of a person, they can show their soul and energy. During this workshop, teen artists will complete an expressionist portrait of a person of their choosing. Using a reference photo(s), that students should bring, they will learn to paint a portrait that is representative of their subject physically and emotionally. Students will learn technical skills including proportions of the face, color mixing, and composition, as well as soft skills such as using color intuitively and painting expressively with emotion. All levels of painting abilities are welcome to attend. This will be a great portfolio builder!
