The MMCM and the Saginaw Bay Symphony have received a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs to bring professionally trained musicians to the museum for the enjoyment and education of elementary students and families. The musicians will demonstrate their instruments, discuss their career preparation, and may bring instruments for the children to play. Check our website frequently for the complete schedule. All presentations are open to the public with regular paid museum admission.

Plan your field trip or family visit on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, for children to enjoy the flute played by a Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra musician, sponsored by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Children will learn about flutes and musical careers as they interact with the musician. Program is approximately 45 minutes and is included in the MMCM admission fee.
