Class Description
9am-12pm daily from June 29th to July 3rd
Your camper (aged 7-13) will learn about puppetry while exploring various visual and performing arts games and activities. Campers will participate in three 45 minutes classes through out the morning with our teaching artists.
Puppetry
Puppetry is one of the oldest forms of storytelling and uniquely crosses all cultural and linguistic barriers. It has been used for thousands of years as a way to pass down ancestral lore, teach allegories, provide entertainment and add meaning to ceremonies. Setting objects in motion is the heart of puppetry, but it can come in many forms - from shadow puppets, to masks, to marionettes - all bringing together both the visual and performing art forms. Join us as we explore this exciting world!
