Approximately one out of every 20 children between the ages of 1 to 5 years has an eye problem that can permanently affect vision if left untreated. Project KidSight is a pro-active vision screening program designed to provide early identification of vision problems in children ages 1 to 5. It is a vision screening that uses a hand-held, specially designed camera to photograph the children’s eyes. If a vision problem is detected, the parent/guardian will receive a computer printout of the results that they can use to get additional testing.
