These workshops are a great way to get creative with your child. Each workshop will allow your child, with your assistance, to create their very own ceramic artwork. Take one, or take them all! Because the projects need to be glazed and fired, artwork will be available for pick up 2–3 weeks after the workshop. - January - Candle Holders You will create beautiful candle holders using slabs of clay and cut-outs and paint it with colored clay. Once complete, these candle holders will illuminate lovely shadows; February- Light Switch Covers Using slabs and textures you will create and design your very own light switch cover (standard single and double switches only). Once created, students will paint their piece with colored clay; March- Spring Flowers You will create a mini bouquet of flowers using slabs and coils. Once built, you can paint your flowers to show off their spring beauty; April - Flower Vases Build your very own flower vase using the coil method. We will roll out coils and build a beautiful vase. Once created, students will paint their vase with colored clay; May - Thrown from the Wheel Even young ones can throw from the wheel. Our instructor will get your wheel piece started, and you and your child will complete it! (Must be at least 5 years old to participate in this workshop.)
