We teach decoding vocabulary, fluency and comprehension skills to students ages 5-12 who have difficulty reading. We asses your child to find their strengths and weaknesses in the area of Reading. Then we will write up a progress report and go over the results during a parent/teacher meeting. After conferencing with the parent an individualized plan is devised that will meet your child's academic needs. Our program "Pathways to the Mind" uses imagery to teach your child to read. This is different from the traditional approach taken in a classroom setting. Using our proven and successful approach to teaching reading skills, we are able to tap into your child's strengths. Your child will not only learn the necessary skills to become a proficient reader. They will also grow in confidence. We also work closely with the parents to assist them in helping their child at home. We hold free parent workshops and are also going to be offering parent training online.
