Instructor(s) Gearhart-Serna, Larisa LARISA ‘RISA’ GEARHART-SERNA has been dancing since the age of three, including ballet, jazz, country western, latin forms, and swing, but she fell in love with flamenco dance. Dancing with the National Institute of Flamenco in Albuquerque, NM, as well as with numerous artists in Oakland, San Francisco, New Haven, and Durham, she now brings her love of the dance form to this community. She is currently a PhD student at Duke University in pathology and environmental toxicology.
