We will visit Otis, Kansas and see the West Wind Energy Industrial Plant that manufactures small wind turbines. Then on to Fort Larned, KS. The Fort is the best-preserved western Fort in the United States. The Fort was built in 1860s to protect the Santa Fe Trail. Nine of the ten buildings are original. Fort Larned is part of the National Park Service. After touring the Fort, we will have a delicious smothered steak dinner from the Heartland Cafe and Catering of Hudson served at the Fort.
Cost of the Tour is $45 (tax included) per person. This includes the All American Tours, Inc. luxury bus, admission fees, and the dinner. Virginia Slimmer is our on-board narrator.
