Uri Caine’s music lives out of the box and his constantly evolving, envelope-pushing style has filled jazz clubs as well as some of the world’s great concert halls, garnering praise and listeners across genres. He trained with some of modern music’s heavyweights and his interests and influences range from Bach and Verdi to swing, producing a mix of musical ideas that keeps audiences at rapt attention. Recently Caine has worked in groups led by Don Byron, Dave Douglas, John Zorn, Terry Gibbs and Buddy DeFranco, Clark Terry, Rashid Ali, Arto Lindsay, and others. He has appeared at some of the world’s greatest music festivals to perform both jazz and classical music.
