Ever seen the Badlands or taken in a little African safari history? How about toured through some ghostly mansions, spent time at Z-bar Ranch, or viewed the splendor of the wetlands? Believe it or not, these are all right here in the State of Kansas. Whether you’re new to the area or a longtime resident, many of us have only seen parts of this great state. If that’s the case, we have the remedy. In the Smoky Hill Museum’s upcoming exhibit, Crisscrossing Kansas, visitors will have an opportunity to learn a little more about what makes Kansas unique and, quite frankly, a wonderful place to explore and enjoy. Broken into six regions, this exhibit presents some of the highlights of Kansas and gives you the tools to plan a staycation. So whether you already love Kansas, or need a little convincing, this exhibit is sure to create a sense of appreciation for what this section of the country has to offer.
