The Summer Interpreters’ Boot Camp is designed for high school students that enjoy and want to learn more about history. The camp allows the students to participate in multiple hands-on activities. They will learn self-reliance working with others as they pursue pioneer skills. They will also learn basic interpretation skills, which is a process used in many museums and parks. Activities include, but not limited to: Blacksmithing, dutch oven cooking, uses of basic wood tools, muzzeloading, tracking, rail splitting, sewing, rope work, and plant identificiation Camp is from June 14 - June 18 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Cost is $200 per participant and includes a bonnet and apron for each girl and a drop sleeve shirt for each boy.
