Each 60-minute class is designed to help prepare children for success in preschool and kindergarten using a developmentally friendly approach from the Get Set for School TM Program. School readiness concepts such as social skills, color/shape awareness, counting, language skills and fine and gross motor control will be enhanced as children partcipate in fun and engaging hands-on multisensory activites. Writing readiness concepts will be taught such as correct crayon grip and use of the helping/stabilization hand. Children will then learn shape and letter stroke formation in a developmental order integrating writing readiness concepts. Children will participate in activites that will focus on strengthening , coordination and improving dexterity of the small muscles of the hand as well as larger muscle groups that help to provide stability and strength required for success in fine-motor activities.
