The Handwriting Without Tears Program is intended for children between the ages of 6 and 11. Class starts February 2, and continues every Tuesday until March 9, from 6-7 p.m. The program will focus on a combination of print and cursive, depending on the child’s age, school expectancy and the parents’ wishes. Each 60 minute class will incorporate games and sensory-motor activities that affect handwriting abilities, as well as guided handwriting practice. Correct letter formation, letter reversal, letter sizing, spacing, letter alignment and pencil grip will all be taught to children and their parents. The class is instructed by Carrie Paulsen, OTR/L. Cost for the class includes a $130.00 tuition fee, plus a $20.00 materials and workbook fee. Registration is limited, so please call (319) 364-2311 to register or with any questions.
