Walk the lantern-lit paths and explore a pioneer village filled with superstition and doubt. Watch as tales and stories from the 1800s are brought to life, and learn why townspeople were always cautious, especially at night. The first tour will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Daniel Boone Home & Heritage Center in Defiance, Missouri. This Halloween event is great for families and is a good alternative to the traditional celebrations. Visitors will be served hot apple cider as they are guided through the pioneer town and told stories about superstitions and beliefs, many of which we know today. Admission prices are $10 for adults $6 for children between the ages of 4 and 11. Advanced reservations are encouraged. Recommended for children ages 7 and older.
