This annual workshop begins at sunrise. Receive a welcome pack of goodies, then join in traditional Tohono O’odham blessings, explanation of the harvest, tools and significance of the saguaro to the native peoples. Harvest the fruits (come prepared for moderate hiking)! Enjoy a traditional Native American breakfast and several presentations. Workshop runs 6:30 am - 1:00 pm and costs $65 per person or $100 for two people. Public portion (free) includes the presentations only and runs from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Workshop registration is limited—call 647-PARK. In addition, visit vendors carrying Native American and natural goods. Special menu at the Desert Spoon Cafe.
