For rising 5th–8th graders (10–13 years) June 25–29 Experience how the early colonists in Maryland survived along the Patuxent River! Campers will leave the 21st century behind as they participate in activities that represent early colonial life, including architecture, daily chores, economy, and play! Campers will learn how to use flint and steel to make fire, use natural materials to make clothing and basketry, and spend time with local artisans in the art of soap making and carpentry. Campers will celebrate the end of camp by preparing and serving a traditional colonial tea party for their families!
