We are a Christian group of moms and teachers, who desire to work cooperatively together training our children using biblical truths. Our teachers want to come alongside parents in their homeschool journey to foster a joy for learning in their children, working together to plant seeds to help them grow in their love for God and His world. We are eager to help each family and child reach their full potential in preparation for living in this world and the world to come. The most important lessons our children will ever learn are those of who God is, and how He loves them – so much that He would send His Son to save them. All other learning comes under that umbrella. With that in mind, all of our classes will have lessons of faith woven into everything we learn. He should have first place in everything. We will offer small classes in a home setting by invitation only, creating a place for children to be nurtured in a caring atmosphere. SUBSCRIBE Our desire for this co-op is for it to be a place where children learn in small groups from teachers who love what they are teaching, in an atmosphere of discovery and fun. We also want to encourage and care for Moms who are on this journey. We will meet on Tuesdays in Hamilton and offer IEW Writing, Nature Studies, STEM, Art and Hands-on Science. Additional literature and IEW classes are offered Mondays online.

Ad Astra has served the Fredericksburg, VA homeschool community for more than 20 years! We provide a unique niche in the community by limiting our services to only high school age students. We are a cooperative that supplements the homeschool experience with academic tutoring while providing our students with an opportunity for solid social interactions. Our program has historically focused on core academics, but we are seeking to expand the program to include more electives in the future. Ad Astra is not an accredited school. Our program is not intended to replace your homeschool curriculum or guarantee high school graduation requirements. It is your responsibility to determine whether the content of Ad Astra class is adequate to meet your curriculum criteria. While we offer high school tutor lead group learning, it is the responsibility of the student and parents to track and maintain credits and transcripts. The ultimate responsibility and authority of homeschooling your student stays with the parent/guardian.

GHC serves church members and local homeschool communities in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Co-op meets on Mondays, 12-4pm, from August to May.

Fort Belvoir Home Educators is a homeschool support group for military and DoD families dedicated to the home education of our children. We are committed to providing support and encouragement to one another and creating an environment that children of all ages can come to participate in classes, field trips, and parties, alongside their friends. It's also a venue for parents to come together to share talents, ideas, and issues related to homeschooling. We are a member-driven group that runs on parent participation and volunteering. Some of the many things that our group has been able to do because of parent volunteers: -Social Activities: Holiday parties, Bowling, Swimming, Lego Club, Running Club, and Teen Events. -Enrichment Activities: Field Trips, Co-Op, Special Events. -Support Activities: Mom's Coffee, Park Days, Curriculum Swaps. -Other: ITBS Testing, Yearbook, Seasonal Parties, Parent’s Night Out, and Kennedy center student ticket program. The STEAM School is an elementary homeschool support group that offers science and arts classes from September to May, a June summer camp and monthly field trips to the local community. Located in Delaplane, VA, some classes can come to you.
