Albemarle Christian Teaching Support (ACTS)

An educational organization designed to provide support and enrichment for home educating families. ACTS admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admissions policies. Our classes provide supplemental educational experiences on a weekly basis to enrich and expand the educational plan the home-educating family has for their students. (For example: The parent teaches Apologia Biology curriculum at home; the ACTS Biology class provides the required lab and associated activities in a group setting to supplement this curriculum choice.) Our classes for grades K-12 offer over 50 elective and academic subjects, and total over 80 in number as many classes are offered more than one class period. We meet once a week from early September to mid-May.
