Class Description Daily class from 1:30-3:30pm from July 20th to 24th. Prior registration and payment required. In this intensive you will take simple drawings and learn how to create your very own repeat patterns digitally. Patterns can be applied to print-on-demand objects including, fabric, wallpaper, gift wrap, phone cases, just about anything! Digitally, you will create your own backgrounds and wallpaper to use around the web or to print out for your own use. This class will meet for 1.5 - 2 hours with one break. The instructor will be available for additional feedback during the day over email. Special Notes Students will need to have a phone with a camera and Adobe Illustrator at home. (Check Adobe's website, they often have free trials available.) All other supplies will be provided in a supply kit available for pick up from the Durham Arts Council the week before the class. Kits are yours to keep to continue working once the class completes. This class will be taught on Zoom. A link will be sent a few days before the class start date. Instructor(s) Jessica Sandford Jessica makes ceramics for free spirits. She loves creating porcelain jewelry and home decor in small, thoughtful batches. Her design sensibility is fueled by a desire to create inspiring objects for creative people who enjoy being surrounded by delightful handmade things as they live, work, play and move about their day. Jessica is in love with color, shape and pattern. She deeply enjoys teaching ceramics, community building, golden hour, homemade donuts, forest bathing and lots of coffee.
