To glorify God by faithfully teaching the next generation about His goodness by providing mutual support, encouragement, accountability, and fellowship to new and experienced home school families in Logan County through field trips, small group meetings, cooperative learning experiences, seasonal activities, mentor relationships, celebrations, and informal and formal sharing/teaching opportunities.

Our goal is not only to help each other educate our children in academics as well as their spiritual journey but also to support one another in our own individual and unique ways that God made us! SHINE seeks to glorify God and keep His commandment to faithfully teach the next generation about His goodness by providing mutual support, encouragement, accountability and fellowship to new and experienced home school families in North Edmond through field trips, small group meetings, co-operative learning experiences, seasonal activities, mentor relationships, celebrations and informal and formal sharing/teaching opportunities.

The Lights Homeschool Co Op is a community committed to providing a nurturing and explorative environment for homeschooling families. The co-op offers unstructured play and fellowship, engaging field trips, nature study, festive holiday parties, and an enriching book club, creating memorable learning experiences for children.

The Learning Tree Homeschool Group provides homeschooling families with Christian based enrichment and supplemental classes in a group setting. All home schooling families are welcome. The Learning Tree Homeschool Group offers a variety of classes for children in preschool through high school. The classes are divided by age groups. As a general guideline, the maximum class size is set at 12 students for the younger grades and 15-20 for the older grades.

Youth programming, boys ages 7-21, girls ages 14-21

Homeschool Happenings is a homeschool program designed for students ages 7 – 10. Homeschool Happenings is scheduled for the third Thursday of the month unless otherwise noted. The typical program includes interactive and outdoor activities (weather permitting), crafts, and games. Programs integrate scientific inquiry with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). Because of the need to prepare materials in advance, this is not a drop in program. Students may reserve a spot by visiting the Licking Park District website calendar or by calling 740-587-2535.
