| Geographic Area Serving: Greater Orlando Area, Florida |
| Description: This is a secular group of homeschoolers who will meet for social gatherings in the west orange county area (off the 429 in Winter Garden). This area is convienent to Winter Garden, Ocoee, West Orlando, South Apopka, Windermere, Metrowest, Clermont, Gotha, and the Oakland areas. All Ages are Welcome! This group is structured to basically allow our families to spend time together, and form bonds and friendships to last throughout our lifetimes. We meet twice per month at a park (indoor activities are planned over the summer months instead), normally on Mondays; occasionally we may do some 'fieldtrip' type get togethers in addition to our park days (chocolate parties, pottery painting, movie dates, christmas caroling, etc) We also hold seasonal and/or holiday parties for the children throughout the year, and we are beginning to hold a monthly "Moms Coffee Break" for the moms to meet on a weekend to have some social time of their own. We hope that one (or maybe all!) of our activities will spark your interest and that we will get to make your acquaintance soon! |
| Requirements: Our requirements are that you currently homeschool at least one child, and that you are able to make our events on a somewhat regular basis.
|
| Benefits: Fieldtrips, park dates, once a year Lego-engineering opportunities, social/recreational opportunities for both kids and parents, and beginning in 2008 our childrens' yearbook/scrapbook meetings
