Description: We are a Catholic Home Schooling support group in the Alachua County area of Northern Florida. We bring Catholic home schooling families together to share our home schooling experiences and share fellowship, go on field trips, and pray the Mass and rosary together all for our God and to benefit our children. We meet every Friday morning at St. Madeleine Catholic Church in High Springs, Florida. We have about 15 families in the group with children ranging from infant to about 15 years of age. We plan different activities each Friday which include Blue Army Fatima Cadets, monthly birthdays, field trips, and other events.
Requirements: We ask only that you are raising your children Catholic.
Benefits: We ask all parents to get involved in the group to help with planning events.

Requirements: CODE OF CONDUCT 1. Be there with your child. BHC is a participant led group. Absolutely no drop offs unless the activity has been specifically listed as such. 2. Should you or your child(ren) need a moment apart from the group to calm each other or for private discussion, please take that time to attend to each others needs. 3. Should a conflict arise between children that proves too difficult for the children to peaceably work out, please discuss it with the child's adult only. No adult should confront/discipline another's child. 4. As a group, BHC promotes gentle support and gentle learning. Please be respectful of this should a discipline situation arise with your child during a BHC function. 5. Be respectful of the many different ways to home school. There is no one right way.

Description: Christian Family Co-op is a support group and co-op. We currently have ~50 families in our group with children ranging from infants to highschoolers. Our support group meets monthly at various locations around the Tampa Bay area and our co-op meets in Temple Terrace on Fridays.
Requirements: All families that register for the co-op are expected to attend regularly and parents are expected to work on their assigned days.

We have classes available for the students during the school year on Thursdays. We meet at the ROC, which is a entire gymnasium with weight room, racket ball and classrooms for classes such as Science, Manners, First Aid, Bible, etc. We have a monthly parent meeting that meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month at "The Gathering," a local church.
Requirements: All members must sign our statement of faith, fill out an application and a Waiver of Liability for each child in the family.

Family Treasures Homeschoolers currently has members from the Lehigh Acres, Buckingham, Alva, Cape Coral, Gateway, and the Fort Myers areas. For those of you outside of this area, you’re also more than welcome to participate.
Requirements: Christian family, to join our co-op you have to promise to not miss more than two classes per semester
Benefits: Our Classes: We have a wide variety of very talented parents who offer classes such as Biology, Debate, Guitar, Art, Science, Woodworking, Apologetics, Survival Skills, Manners/Etiquette, Business, Sewing and Music. One parent from each family teaches at least one class and helps in at least one class each semester. New members will only be asked to assist in the classroom(s) the first semester. Note that all classes are not available every semester. This is just an example of previous classes. Each semester will be new and different classes. Other Group Activities: Once a month we schedule several activities for support and getting to know each other. These activities include Homeschool support meetings, Teen/tween events and Mom’s night out. We are always looking for field trips for our group to enjoy. The last hour of co-op (12:00 -1:00) social/ lunch hour is open for all Family Treasure members.

Description: GCC has formed to connect Christian homeschooling families of color from various ethnic backgrounds, and Christian families raising children of color through adoption etc. We want to support and encourage one another in our homeschool journey and help to create a sense of self-awareness and pride in our children to be whom God created them to be. The range is from preschool to elementary aged children. We are a group of a social nature, and plan to meet so that the children can have play time/fellowship. Please bring any toys, i.e.: balls, etc. to share. In addition, we plan to incorporate throughout the yr. extra activities for the children. GCC is a Christian based group that supports families of color from different ethnic backgrounds as well as families that homeschool children of color. As well, GCC welcomes non-minority Christian families who desire to learn about our cultures.
Requirements: Each mom will share in planning one activity or event per yr. (i.e. a simple field trip, etc.). We are here to help each other and working well together is imperative.

Description: Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly environment for homeschoolers of all ages to learn and grow. We respect all homeschooling styles and methods. Benefits: With over 200 links in our links section we are bound to be your one stop resource. We also provide mentors to new homeschoolers. We hold classes and co-ops including art, book club, history, science, environmental studies and foreign language. We also meet for social interaction, planned field trips, playdates and fun! We have a strong community network including Misty Forest Academy, Orlando Science Center, Orlando Museum of Art, Young Chef's Academy and Orlando Ballet. Description: This group is open to all homeschooling families in Florida to share activitites, events, co-ops, associations, organizations and support groups with other homeschoolers. We're a member-led group that depends on the participation of members to share information. This is not a "chat" group, but a calendar/bulletin board group.
Requirements: Our requirement is that the activities/events posted are to be (family) homeschooling related opportunities. Members can be homeschoolers or those thinking of homeschooling: those thinking of homeschooling in Florida, those moving to Florida (and already homeschooling), and those already living in Florida.
Benefits: We have members that own businesses that provide services to the homeschooling community (such as cooking classes, art classes, etc.) at discounted rates for groups; support groups leaders; and members that are shariing activities/events from their own local support groups or co-ops. Members may be looking for local support groups to join. Although older siblings are always welcome, most of our children are elementary age & younger, and thus so is the focus of our activities. Description: Support group of Christian families with a weekly e-mail newsletter of area events, meetings, and opportunities surrounding Alachua County. Members are encouraged to coordinate with other homeschoolers in the posted activities (field trips, park days (meetings), and other various social fellowships and service projects) and to contribute to listing activities in the newsletter. You may join F.P.E.A. through us.

Description: We are a Christian based group with prayers and devotionals at every meeting. We meet once per month, during which we discuss upcoming field trips or events, fellowship with one another while our children socialize with one another. We usually have at least one field trip or event each month during the regular school year. We also have a 4-h club which meets before the homeschool meeting. The 4-H club also has field trips and events, and hosts an educational fair during the school year on a previously chosen subject. The students who enter this fair do projects that correspond to that subject and are judged and can receive trophies. Our students, (when possible) also participate in the spelling bees with the public school and take part in the Tropicana Speech Competiton each year.
Requirements: Our only requirement is to behave in a Christian manner at our functions, and to be kind to all who are present at these functions.
Benefits: The benefits of being a part of this group are many, such as meeting new people, finding wonderful friends for yourself and your students. You always have someone you can call, email, or talk face to face with when you have a problem or question.

Description: Our Group meets the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 1-3 at the American Legion Hall on Church Ave. We have Enrichment classes for all ages. Mentorship classes for the adults. Field Trips once a month. Bowling each Wednesday, Park day each Friday. And so much more.
Requirements: Our only request is that members help each month with clean up, set up and activities.
Benefits: We have an on line e-loop letter, a group library and book sales.We plan many low cost field trips for all ages.

Geographic Area Serving: Greater Orlando Area, Florida
Description: This is a secular group of homeschoolers who will meet for social gatherings in the west orange county area (off the 429 in Winter Garden). This area is convienent to Winter Garden, Ocoee, West Orlando, South Apopka, Windermere, Metrowest, Clermont, Gotha, and the Oakland areas. All Ages are Welcome! This group is structured to basically allow our families to spend time together, and form bonds and friendships to last throughout our lifetimes. We meet twice per month at a park (indoor activities are planned over the summer months instead), normally on Mondays; occasionally we may do some 'fieldtrip' type get togethers in addition to our park days (chocolate parties, pottery painting, movie dates, christmas caroling,etc) We also hold seasonal and/or holiday parties for the children throughout the year, and we are beginning to hold a monthly "Moms Coffee Break" for the moms to meet on a weekend to have some social time of their own. We hope that one (or maybe all!) of our activities will spark your interest and that we will get to make your acquaintance soon!
Requirements: Our requirements are that you currently homeschool at least one child, and that you are able to make our events on a somewhat regular basis.
Benefits: Fieldtrips, park dates, once a year Lego-engineering opportunities, social/recreational opportunities for both kids and parents, and beginning in 2008 our childrens' yearbook/scrapbook meetings
