Description: A diverse, yet unified organization of homeschooling families who work collectively and cooperatively to provide encouragement, support, resources, classes, fieldtrips and both social and educational activities and opportunities to its members and their children. We are working to build a fellowship which recognizes each member's valuable contribution. Our operation is based upon mutual respect, member initiative, and a democratically based decision making process. We acknowledge a responsibility to one another, as well as to our local community. We will allow our group to evolve as our enrollment, and our children, grow.
Requirements: Annual dues
Benefits: We provide field trips, classes, park days, parents night out, curriculum nights, "class" pictures, and monthly organizational meetings for homeschooled children from ages 2-17, with an emphasis on ages 3-12.

Description: CAPE-NM is a non-profit Christian organization serving ALL New Mexico home educators and support groups with information, encouragement, and support. CAPE hosts the New Mexico Christian Home School Convention and Curriculum Fair in the spring every year. Highlights of the Convention include outstanding workshops, curriculum exhibitors, and a used curriculum sale. CAPE also monitors state and federal legislation and maintains a free e-mail network to get the word out quickly when lobbying is necessary and to share time-sensitive information about home school events and deadlines.
Requirements: CAPE is a ministry providing statewide support to all home school families, regardless of race, creed, or faith.
Benefits: CAPE publishes a quarterly newsletter with information on current events in home schooling, legislative activities, and encouragement. Membership also includes an automatic membership to the Education Resource Center in Albuquerque, providing curriculum consultation, curriculum library, home school supplies, testing and referrals, and home school community resource information.

Description: The Education Resource Center (ERC) is a ministry of CAPE-NM, located in Albuquerque at Grace Baptist Chapel, 12201 Comanche Rd. NE. Open two days a week, the ERC provides a staffed facility where veteran home school "experts" can provide advice, support, and encouragement, along with curriculum consultation, a curriculum library, home school supplies, testing and referrals, and home school community resource information.
Requirements: Memberships with CAPE-NM provides free access to the ERC Resources.
Benefits: Over the years, more than 4,000 books and reusable resources such as microscopes, telescopes, and math manipulatives have been added to the lending library. In addition, a mentoring program links experienced home school families with beginners. The ERC also organized regional contests such as the Spelling Bee, Word Power Challenge, Science Fairs, etc.

Description: We are a small, informal, inclusive, cooperative organization which has been offering support, information, and activities to all homeschooling families in the area since 1993.
Requirements: We have no officers, bylaws, committees, etc. All active members are expected to help somehow with planning, organizing, coordinating, and other group responsibilities.

Description: We are a group of parents and children who have come together for support and fellowship.The purpose of our association is to provide support, encouragement, and social situations which we would be unable to provide as individuals such as field day events, special field trips, etc. We strongly believe that a child's parents are his best educators. To that end, we strive to help homeschoolers in our area continue to educate their children at home.
Requirements: The Lea County Home School Association is a Christian Support Group. Only homeschooling families who reside in Lea County, New Mexico may join.
Benefits: We provide two, 8 week, co-op sessions per year for children of all ages in our association. Dues are $10 per family per semester. We offer two class sessions per week of about 1 1/2 hours each. Topics of classes include weaving, outdoor safety, law enforcement, book making, science, health, cooking, and more. Members of the association are not required to participate in co-op but it is strongly recommended.

We will have weekly park dates organized and some unorganized, field trips, play dates, and special events, Moms nights out, etc. We primarily have events on the westside of Albuquerque. We do not discriminate, we are open to all types of homeschooling and all religious backgrounds. Please be respectful of others and try to appreciate their differences.
Requirements: Our only requirement is that we are able to meet your family prior to accepting your request to join the group. This is only a safety precaution.
Benefits: This is a group of wonderful families with all walks of life explored. We enjoy sharing our learning experiences together.

Description: Los Alamos Home Educators (LAHE) is a loosely connected group of homeschooling families in Los Alamos and the surrounding area.
Requirements: While LAHE is primarily a Christian group, we are also a community of inclusion. People of all faiths are welcome to participate. We are all required to be respectful in our interactions with each other. If you are Christian, remember you are an ambassador of your faith. If you are not Christian, please keep in mind that this is a Christian group. Classes offered through LAHE are not required to be primarily Christian in focus but should not be in opposition to the Christian faith.

Description: Santa Fe Homeschool Association is a large group of homeschooling families located in Santa Fe, NM and from surrounding areas.The group is comprised of families of many different faiths, beliefs, creeds, and walks of life. Everyone is welcome, regardless of Educational Methods or Religious beliefs. Homeschool Support is our primary goal! Our group offers many activities and events for homeschoolers, such as Parent Support Meetings, occasional Classes, Clubs, Annual Science Fair, Field Trips, Parties, End or Beginning of Year Family Picnics, Musical & Theatrical Events, Weekly Ice Skating, Park Days, and a Teen Group. Our homeschool group is cooperative, relying on the generosity of parents to volunteer, organize, and coordinate events. Everyone's suggestions, ideas, efforts, and plans are welcome.
Requirements: Our Group requires a brief member profile upon joining, and asks that you attend at least one meeting.

Description: Our members decide on events, times, locations by consensus. Membership is free and open to anyone with an interest. Join by phone, website or email. SCHAPSS provides support for alternative school events, materials, and social opportunities.
Requirements: We are working on attendance by video or phone conference. This group is prohibited from criticizing any type of homeschooling, except during formal debates held for educational purposes.
Benefits: The upcoming information fair to be held in July (watch the website) will provide an idea of what benefits SCHAPSS has to offer.
