| Description: Divine Mercy Catholic Homeschool Co-op, (DMCHC) is a group of families who meet for 24 Fridays during the school year. Our facility for 2009 – 2010 is St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 Sixth Street West, Jordan, MN. DMCHC is open to all who are respectful of our Catholic beliefs.
On Fridays we hold classes for children between the pre-school through the high school years. Most classes are parent led. Class offerings include art, music, PE, Bible history, literary analysis, science and Lego science. We have three, eight week trimesters. |
| Requirements: Parents must be willing to participate with the day's activities. This is not a drop-off program. |

| Description: Greetings! Our mission is to help others start local support groups in their area. We currently have open groups all over the metro area and are continually connecting people to start new groups. We also have a very active e-loop that can be joined thru our web site.

| Requirements: Each group makes the decisions about how they run things, we give basic guidelines and ask members to make a group their own. The only requirements we have is once a group is formed, we are allowed to continue sending members to the group until the time comes to close to group due to the groups membership wishes. We also request that the groups be inclusive and value each member for their unique contribution.

| Benefits: ECHO-MN, which is the umbrella group for all the local support groups, provides Children's Theatre tickets, class offerings, field trips and answers and support for all your homeschooling needs.

| Description: Encouragers is a support group for up to 25 Christian families. Home educating is a very valuable and rewarding experience. However, the task not only requires lesson plans and curriculum, but also the support of a community to spur you on when you simply have run out of steam! This is who we hope to be for one another!

| Benefits: Encouragers holds parent meetings usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:45-9:00 p.m. The meeting topics vary and sometimes we will have a guest speaker while other times it is for the purpose of small or large group discussions. Each meeting, however, will allow sufficient time to pray together in small groups about our current concerns and hopes.Another priority is arranging a variety of field trips and activities for the children such as: book clubs, nature center outings, theater productions, Orchestra Hall concerts, outreach and service projects, Old Cahill School, The Works for science trips, ice skating, Murphy's Landing, holiday parties, and any other activities the children are interested in. On occasion, and if there is member interest, events will be planned specifically for the parents for an evening out. It is the desire of Encouragers that not only our children build relationships with one another but that we parents also have the opportunity to do the same.

| Requirements: MEMBER REQUIREMENTS
1. A parent is required to stay for the entire session due to liability factors.
2. Parents will be assigned tasks such as clean-up, set-up, classroom aid, etc.
3. A parent area is available for parents to use during school days. Parents may participate in a prayer time or discussion/support time.
4. Families must have a child enrolled in K-12 classes in order to utilize nursery/preschool services.
5. Each parent is asked to assist with at least one extra-curricular activity during the school year (i.e. party planning, field trip planning) |

| HEY - Home Educated Youth |

| Description: Home Educated Youth (HEY) is a Central Minnesota home-school support group comprised of approximately 250 member families. HEY is a non-denominational, Christian-based group that welcomes all philosophies of home-schooling. Our mission is to collectively support the concept of Home-schooling; To help our members effectively teach our youth through the organization of information and resources, to share our talents and experiences, and to leverage our membership size to negotiate discounts for home-school products and services. The primary purpose of the HEY organization is the dissemination of home-school related information to the members. One of the primary benefits of HEY membership is inclusion on the HEY Email list which is used to keep our members informed of the many events and activities available to our home-schooling families. Within the main structure we have smaller 'focus' groups who's members share a common interest and often create co-op learning groups throughout the year. These small groups organize many activities open to HEY members such as field trips, theatrical plays, project fairs, and team sports. |

During the year, we offer several opportunities for the student's personal growth through such activities as a science fair, a spelling bee, a geography bee, oral presentations, and a talent show at the end of the year.
We set aside time during the co-op day for gently supervised club times after class time is over. |

| Description: T.C.C.H. Group was inspired by online public school students who wanted to get together with their peers for fun & friendship. It has evolved into a diverse home schooling community.
T.C.C.H. Group is a community for all families who are interested in regular play-times & field trips. We're an inclusive group and so warmly welcome other families and close friends w/ children ages 0-12 (Older siblings welcome). We meet weekly (usually on Friday afternoons from 1:00-3:00 & w/in 20-30 minutes of the Twin Cities). Our gatherings consist of field trips, play dates, art days & science days. All ages are welcome to every event. |
