Description: Advocates for Home Education in Massachusetts (AHEM) is a nonprofit, independent, grassroots, volunteer-run, educational organization that gathers and disseminates information about homeschooling in Massachusetts through education, advocacy, and events. We believe that informed and active homeschoolers are their own best advocates in maintaining the right to independently homeschool.
Requirements: We welcome and value the participation of anyone interested in homeschooling in Massachusetts.

Description: We provide support and activities to those who are homeschooling or choosing to homeschool in the Berkley, Fall River and surrounding areas of SE Massachusetts. This is where we set up cool field trips, discuss pertinent subjects and just hang out together in cyber space.
Requirements: We do not have planned monthly meetings but we are a diverse group with a variety of religious backgrounds and ask that anyone joining in our activities be respectful of each others religious choices. No racism please and no vulgar language.
Benefits: We have a good sized group consisting of children from as young as infant to teens. We have planned activities ranging from field trips to science classes, craft classes, geography fairs, game days, park days and more. Our yahoo group is a great place to talk, get support and learn about activities. We are a very active group and love meeting new homeschoolers!

Description: We are a growing group of likeminded Home Schooling families in and around Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts. We have various activities such as "Demo Day" which is very much like Show n Tell, "Let's Travel to.." which is geography, a monthly book club, Art and Music class as well as a monthly Moms Night Out, so us moms can get out and chat away. We try to plan a few field trips each year as well.
Requirements: The only requirement is that you are or are thinking about Home Schooling.
Benefits: We are a small group but we are growing into a great support network. We have several activities for children of all age ranges.

Description: Bridgewater Raynham Area Homeschool Support Group (BRAHS) is a group of families in the Bridgewater Raynham (Massachusetts) Area who have an interest in home-based learning in common. As a group, we do not endorse any one resource, method or philosophy over another, but strive to provide a morally wholesome environment for the character development of our children. We welcome all families into our group who have similar goals and concerns.
Requirements: The BRAHS group meets on Friday afternoons in Brockton. In order to form a cohesive peer group, members are expected to participate in Friday activities on a regular basis and/or attend monthly parent meetings. Members are also expected to volunteer their time and/or resources periodically throughout the year. We ask for rotating volunteers to lead celebration days and library activities.
Benefits: We have many planned field trips, a swap table (for homeschool or other materials you want to pass along), Homeschool Recess Days, Monthly Celebration Days, monthly library activities.

Description: We are a secular home schooling group. There are no membership fees to join our group as this is an individually family funded organization. This means that there is no set fee to join but that each individual family is responsible for their own child(ren)'s costs. We welcome all the help we can get with organizing field trips, family nights, fun time, playdates. Where ever your strengths may be you are welcome to use them here. The ages of our children range from 1 to 14years. Education starts at birth and whether you are already homeschooling FT or PT or just considering it, we are here to help you. Description: The LEAF (Learning Enrichment Active Fellowship) network is offered for those who would like to maintain connections with other families throughout the year through an ongoing calendar of events to be updated by the participants themselves. LEAF is informal, all-inclusive and participant-directed. There is no one leader or group of leaders which plans activities and makes decisions for all network participants. Every family in LEAF is a fully contributing partner in the network.
Requirements: LEAF members must be either current homeschoolers, of any educational philosophy, or families considering homeschooling. Members may not be non-homeschooling third parties, such as representatives of commercial ventures, curriculum vendors, or administrators of non-profit educational groups.
Benefits: The main purpose of the LEAF network is to give homeschooling families the opportunity to share resources and talents, field trips and events, learning enrichment opportunities, park and beach days, and overall fellowship with others, in a variety of group settings.

Description: We welcome people who are interested in participating (and helping to organize) some of the many activities we have. We have a variety of religious and secular activities for children of all ages. On our e-list, we are privileged to have Orthodox Jews, Conservative Jews, Reform Jews, Reconstructionist Jews, secular Jews. The primary goal of NEJHS is to allow our children (and us!) to get together with other Jewish homeschoolers.
Requirements: We do not allow so-called Messianic Jews (Jews for Jesus). There is no proselytizing allowed on our e-list or at our gatherings. This list is NOT for discussing religious politics or "how" to be a Jew. Note: Non-Jews married to Jews and raising their children as Jews or with Jewish traditions are also welcome.
Benefits: We have field trips planned at least once per month. For example, in the last few months, we have explored historic houses in New England, visited the Museum of Science, and had a wonderful Sukkah party.

Requirements: It's highly recommended that you join our Yahoo Group. All meetings, classes, field trips, and events are planned and posted on our Yahoo Group message board. There are no requirements with regards to planning anything or attendance. You may jump in as often as suits your needs.
