The President’s council on Physical Fitness and Sports has rated ice skating as one of the best sports for maintaining physical fitness.  Homeschool High School is a group providing a multitude of elements for any family homeschooling through high school including support, resources, and fun! We offer student IDs, parental support through academic training and resources (educational planning events, transcript writing classes, dual enrollment information etc.), year round social activities and events for homeschooled high school students including monthly games nights, prom & homecoming, fun community service opportunities and much more. We also work directly with the local Community College in their ongoing efforts to reach out to the homeschooled high school community in our area.
Our group size averages 150 families yearly, although we are growing each year. We have anywhere from 15 - 85 students at each event and we are always looking for more neat things to do! Ideas are welcome from any member family!

Description:
The Catholic Homeschool Association of Omaha is a like-to-like ministry of homeschooling families supporting and encouraging one another.
Requirements: Membership in the Association is open to any homeschooling Catholic family in good standing with the Church. Membership is $20 per family per year.
Benefits: We meet formally for Mass on the second Friday of each month, September-May, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church followed by a sack lunch and workshops for kids. There are numerous other activities that our association organizes including field trips, educational classes, Blue Knights and Little Flowers, a bowling league, parent support meetings, meals to new moms, graduation Mass and celebration in May, and junior and senior high youth groups. Information is printed monthly in a newsletter and we have a Yahoo group site where information pertinent to our members is posted daily.
Cost: $20 yearly

Description:
The Western Nebraska Home Educators Network is a unique and diverse community of caring individuals working together for the common purpose of encouraging one another in their endeavors to faithfully train and educate their children at home. Though we have very diverse beliefs and reasons for home schooling, we have the common bond of being home schooling families.
We hold to the truth that all people are created in the image of God.Therefore, we do not discriminate against any individual or family.
We strive to accept, support and encourage each family who seriously desires to educate their children at home. Our goal is for each family to receive just treatment and an equal opportunity to succeed in the Western Nebraska Home Educators Network.
Requirements: Parents/Students choose which activities and events they desire to participate in throughout the year. The WNHEN Cooperative does require a commitment by the parents and students to attend weekly. Parents are strongly encouraged to offer classes in exchange for participating in the Cooperative at no cost to their family, except for supplies.
Benefits: The Western Nebraska Home Educators Network offers a monthly newsletter, at least one monthly planned field trips, youth group activities, weekly PE, a weekly Cooperative, support for the parents and family, leadership opportunities and much more.
Cost: None/There is a $12.00 fee to receive a 12 month copy of the newsletter group

Description: We are a small group specifically for support and encouragement of moms and dads. While we do have activities for kids, our monthly meetings are adults only. We meet 2nd Thursdays, 7-9 PM at Northwest Bible Fellowship, 96th and Grand Avenue. We have new and veteran homeschoolers. Anyone is welcome.
Requirements: None
Benefits: We have a monthly newsletter. Also available are occasional field trips and a monthly meeting for kids of co-op teaching called Kaleidoscope. There are specific requirements for joining Kaleidoscope.

Description: Our group is a Christ-centered group, but all are welcome. We have a meeting for moms the third Thursday evening of the month. One field trip is scheduled per month. The Blair Y.M.C.A. offers a home school physical education program once a week for $3.00 per student per week. We publish a monthly newsletter that is sent via U.S. mail or e-mail. In the spring we have our annual "Cultural Arts Fair" which provides an opportunity for the students to share their accomplishments.
Requirements: There are no requirements. Members may participate according to the needs/desires of each family. A $5.00 membership fee is requested to cover postage for the newsletter and supplies for our annual "Cultural Arts Fair".

Benefits: An informational and resourceful e-tree membership that provides regular calendar updates and any new events, as well as any & all high school related information from the Omaha Metro area.
