If you have ever thought of trying a foreign language program, Speekee is a MUST!!! We absolutely love it.. Speekee is an on-line spanish course (DVDs available too) designed for young children in mind, recommended ages 2-10 years old. I feel this program is for anyone who wants to start learning spanish in a fun and easy way!
The videos are filmed in Spain with real Spanish children and puppets. They use a lot of catchy songs and repetition so the kids REALLY learn and remember it. We are singing the songs and repeating the words around the house, in the car and at the playground!!! We have been frustrated with other products that offer an immersion approach because it went so fast and we became frustrated easily.
A two week free trial is available. After that the cost is $7.50 per month. There are over 150 minutes with the 10 videos. There is a Speekee TV Curriculum plan of work covering 40 weeks with homeschoolers in mind. There are worksheets, downloads, copywork and projects such as how as make your own puppets. We just did the videos and watched them over and over again until we were ready to move on. There is also information and ideas for grown-up helpers. Really, the best way to do this is to use the words you have learned in the videos and incorporate them into everyday life.
