| Description: SLHE is a support group created to offer support and information to all home educators regardless of race, religion, learning, and teaching styles, etc. all ages of children are welcome. We operate on a volunteer basis. If you don't find what you need, you are welcome to plan any event, field trip, park day, workshop, class, or newsletter article. We encourage and support you to find what methods and experiences work best in your homeschooling endeavors. Meetings are held at the Barnes & Noble in Murray on 5300 south and State Street. The 3rd Wednesday of the month, meeting starts at 7:00 pm. There are meetings every month EXCEPT December, June, July and August. We will sometimes have a pot luck dinner in July and August and meet at a park.

Each member agrees to serve on one committee and then can participate in as many other activities as desired. Committees elect their own chairperson and operate as they see fit. Members have the opportunity to change committees yearly. A president and vice-president serve two-year terms and help oversee committees and admit new members.
