| Two Roads High School |

|
| Geographic Area Serving: Denver metropolitan area |
| Description: TRHS is the creation of several actively home-schooling families and operates with the needs of home schoolers in mind. The school offers a unique, part-time high school track for families who wish to continue home schooling during the high school years, but are also seeking to provide to their students a broader range of social and academic opportunities. Students at TRHS can take as few as one and as many as three courses at the school, enroll in college courses at nearby community colleges and tech/vocational courses at Warren Technical School. TRHS offers courses in five languages, math, science, history, arts and drama, English. Two Roads uses a collaborative learning instructional model designed to challenge students to go beyond fact acquisition and to discover how concepts learned in the classroom are meaningful to their lives outside of it. Collaborative learning encourages students to take responsibility for their education by discovering what they do and do not understand; it insists that students frequently self-evaluate, ask questions, recognize meaningful answers, communicate clearly and work productively with peers. It is a method that lends itself to creative problem solving, critical thinking and the development of versatile, higher order thinking skills. Two Roads is also affiliated with the Home Option Program, a tuition-free, k-8 home school support program that has been in operation since 2000.
